Volunteering at HPC

One of the greatest ways to grow in your walk with Jesus is to serve. Jesus taught that if anyone wants to be great, they should serve. In fact, He demonstrated this in John 13 when He took a towel and a basin of water and washed His disciples’ feet. At Healing Place Church, we believe that serving is one of the best ways to share the hope and life that we have found in Jesus. Serving is a natural expression of our faith.

It takes a great team to put together an online church experience at Healing Place Church Online. We need people to serve as greeters, hosts, prayer team, tech help team… and that’s just during the event. Prior to the online church experience even going live, we have a team working to prepare the site for the current week’s message. And after the experience, there’s a team working to help get people connected.

Hosts

Just what the word says - hosting people as they come and experience church online - answering questions, providing a healthy environment that can present people with a genuine experience in God’s presence.

Greeters

Welcoming people to the online church experience, and engaging in conversation with them just like you would if they came to your home.

Prayer Team

Praying with people one-on-one in a live text chat during the online church experience.

Help Team

Answering questions during the online church experience - pretty much anything other than prayer requests.

Connect Team

Helping connect people to a place in the body of Christ.

Production Team

Creating the video and online environment for the online church experience. Includes video editors, audio mixing, set assistance, slide design and operation, note-taking and posting and database.

There’s a lot of ways to serve in online church experiences, and every one of them is a vital part of reaching people online. Remember, serving isn’t really about us, it’s about others. Every aspect of Healing Place Church Online is designed to help people have an encounter with Jesus Christ. When you serve on this team, you’re really not just serving the team. And you’re not just serving because it’s good for you. We serve at Healing Place Church Online because we want people to find the hope and grace and mercy that Jesus has shown us. That’s what it’s all about.
